The PST-RQ400A integrates a high-sensitivity catalytic combustion sensor element specifically tuned for methane (CH4) detection, providing a critical early warning for natural gas leaks. Upon detecting gas concentrations at or above the 6% Lower Explosive Limit (LEL), it triggers an immediate multi-stage alert protocol including a loud 70 dB audible alarm, a visual LED indicator, and a push notification sent directly to the Tuya Smart App on connected smartphones.
Its built-in WiFi module operates on the 2.4GHz band (802.11 b/g/n), enabling direct cloud connectivity without the need for a proprietary hub or gateway. This allows for remote real-time monitoring and control from anywhere, integration into broader smart home ecosystems via the Tuya platform, and support for voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Home assistants.
