The FrSky Taranis X9D Plus 2019 builds upon the classic Taranis form factor with significant hardware and firmware upgrades. It incorporates a redesigned mainboard and a more powerful MCU, increasing computing capability and data storage to optimize performance for complex model configurations and LUA scripts. The system now runs the latest ACCESS communication protocol, offering faster baud rates and lower latency alongside backward compatibility with ACCST D16 receivers.
This version introduces several ergonomic and functional enhancements, including a dedicated launch momentary button for DLG pilots, a program navigation scroll wheel, and a high-speed digital module interface. The integrated ISRM-S-X9 RF module supports advanced telemetry features, while the OpenTX firmware includes a spectrum analyzer function for monitoring RF noise. The transmitter operates on a 2S Li-ion/LiPo battery (not included) and supports wired training, PARA wireless trainer systems, and connectivity with FreeLink App and AirLink S modules.
