Description

The Waveshare ESP32-S2 LCD Development Board is a feature-rich AIoT platform built around Espressif’s ESP32-S2 Wi-Fi SoC. It combines a 240MHz Xtensa single-core processor with integrated 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, making it ideal for connected display applications. The board includes a 0.96-inch IPS LCD for local visualization of sensor data or system status, reducing external component count.

Power management is handled by a high-efficiency TPS63000 DC-DC converter, supporting a wide input voltage from 2.7V to 4.2V and enabling direct operation from a single-cell LiPo battery via the onboard charge/discharge header. This, combined with multiple configurable low-power sleep states, makes the board suitable for mobile and wearable IoT products. The castellated edge design facilitates direct integration into end-user carrier boards as a modular system-on-chip.
