Description
The Adafruit QT Py ESP32-S2 WiFi Dev Board packs the capabilities of Espressif’s ESP32-S2 into a miniature, developer-friendly footprint. Its 240MHz Xtensa single-core processor delivers robust computational performance for IoT edge processing, while the integrated native USB port opens advanced interfacing possibilities like acting as a keyboard, mouse, MIDI device, or mass storage drive without additional ICs. The board is engineered for efficient power management, supporting battery operation with protection circuitry and ultra-low deep sleep currents for long-term deployments.
Designed for rapid prototyping, the board features a dedicated STEMMA QT connector, standardizing I2C sensor hookups and eliminating soldering for compatible modules. Its generous 4MB Flash and 2MB PSRAM accommodate OTA updates, wireless stacks, and data-intensive applications like JSON parsing. The GPIO complement includes capacitive touch inputs, a hardware DAC, PWM on any pin, and high-speed SPI peripherals, making it suitable for HMI, audio, and sensor fusion projects. Compatible with both Arduino IDE and CircuitPython, it serves as a versatile platform for makers, educators, and IoT system integrators.
