The M5Stack ATOMS3R Development Kit packs the capabilities of a full ESP32-S3 microcontroller, a vivid display, and advanced motion sensing into an ultra-compact 24x24mm module. Its heart is the ESP32-S3-PICO-1-N8R8, integrating dual-core Xtensa LX7 processors clocked up to 240MHz, 8MB of Flash, and a generous 8MB of PSRAM for data-intensive tasks like image buffering or complex sensor fusion algorithms.
Beyond processing, the kit is equipped with a comprehensive 9-axis inertial measurement unit combining a BMI270 accelerometer/gyroscope and a BMM150 geomagnetic sensor, enabling precise attitude and heading reference system (AHRS) functionality. The integrated 0.85-inch IPS screen provides a visual interface, while its optimized 3D antenna design ensures robust Wi-Fi connectivity. Power management is engineered for IoT, supporting deep sleep with currents as low as 11μA and offering flexible power input via USB Type-C or the expansion port.
