Description
The Waveshare RP2350-Zero-CM Mini Development Board is engineered for developers requiring a high-performance, space-efficient microcontroller platform. Its core is the Raspberry Pi RP2350A, which uniquely offers a choice between dual Arm Cortex-M33 cores or dual Hazard 3 RISC-V cores, providing architectural flexibility for different firmware toolchains and performance needs. The board’s compact, castellated-edge design is a key feature, allowing it to be directly soldered as a surface-mount component onto a custom PCB, eliminating connectors and saving significant vertical space.
With 520KB of SRAM and 2MB of onboard Flash, the board supports complex embedded applications. Its extensive peripheral set, including programmable I/O (PIO) state machines, enables precise timing control for custom protocols without CPU overhead. Power management is handled via the USB-C port, which also serves as the primary programming interface using a simple drag-and-drop method, streamlining the development workflow for rapid prototyping and deployment in IoT nodes, industrial controllers, and compact automation devices.
