Description
The MuseLAB iCESugar FPGA Development Board is a compact yet powerful open-source platform built around the Lattice iCE40UP5k FPGA. Designed by MuseLAB, this exquisite board integrates a range of on-board resources including an RGB LED, a switch, and both USB-C and Micro-USB ports. Most of its I/O capabilities are exposed via standard PMOD connectors, allowing for seamless integration with a wide array of PMOD-compatible devices.
A key feature is the integrated iCELink debugger, based on ARM Mbed DAPLink technology. This debugger simplifies the development workflow by supporting convenient drag-and-drop programming of FPGA bitstreams directly onto a virtual disk. Beyond drag-and-drop, iCELink also provides USB CDC serial port and JTAG functionalities, offering versatile debugging and programming options for both novices and experienced engineers.
The iCESugar board is designed with open-source flexibility in mind, making it compatible with widely adopted open-source toolchains. Its compact form factor, combined with rich peripheral resources and straightforward programming, positions it as an excellent choice for FPGA learning, rapid prototyping, and professional embedded system development involving the iCE40UP5k architecture.
