The Waveshare Isolated RS485/RS232 HAT is engineered to provide the Raspberry Pi with reliable and protected multi-protocol serial communication capabilities. This expansion board leverages a comprehensive chip combination including the SC16IS752 dual UART expansion chip, SP3485 for RS485, and SP3232 for RS232, enabling a high data rate of up to 921600bps over an SPI interface.
