Description
This Waveshare development board is engineered as a compact, all-in-one solution for creating sophisticated graphical user interfaces and embedded systems. At its core is the RP2350B microcontroller, a dual-architecture chip featuring both an ARM Cortex-M33 and a Hazard3 RISC-V core, capable of operating at speeds up to 150 MHz. This processing power, combined with 520 KB of SRAM and 16 MB of onboard flash, provides the headroom needed for complex display rendering, sensor data processing, and application logic.
The board’s 4-inch IPS display delivers sharp 480×480 resolution with 65K colors, directly connected via an integrated RGB interface. For interactive projects, the optional capacitive touch overlay provides a responsive, multi-touch input method communicated over I²C. Beyond the display, the board is equipped with a suite of peripherals including a 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) for motion sensing, a real-time clock (RTC) for timekeeping, and a microSD (TF) card slot for data logging or asset storage. The USB Type-C port facilitates both power delivery and drag-and-drop firmware programming, streamlining the development workflow from prototype to deployment.
