The Waveshare 24962 Serial Server is engineered for mission-critical industrial telemetry and IIoT data acquisition. Its architecture provides two fully independent serial-to-Ethernet conversion channels, each with isolated RS485 transceivers and dedicated Ethernet PHY interfaces. This design prevents cross-talk and ensures data integrity when interfacing multiple Modbus RTU devices, sensors, or PLCs onto a single LAN or cloud network.
Power management and signal integrity are paramount, with built-in isolation barriers on both the power supply and RS485 data lines to protect sensitive logic from ground loops, voltage spikes, and EMI common in factory settings.
