The VCNL3030X01-GS08 integrates a complete proximity sensing system into a single CMOS chip, including photodiodes, amplifiers, and analog-to-digital conversion circuits. This monolithic design ensures high signal integrity and reduces external component count. The sensor provides precise 16-bit digital proximity data through a standard I2C interface, which supports a wide logic voltage range from 1.8V to 5.5V for easy integration with various microcontrollers like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and STM32.
