The Grove Flame Sensor v1.1 utilizes a YG1006 NPN silicon phototransistor with a black epoxy lens optimized for infrared radiation detection. This design provides high sensitivity specifically to the spectral signature of flames, making it effective for fire source identification within a range of up to 1 meter.
The module includes signal conditioning circuitry and outputs a digital signal compatible with 5V logic microcontrollers.
