Description

The RAK19009 WisBlock Base Board serves as the structural and electrical backbone for modular WisBlock IoT systems. It features dedicated mounting slots for a WisBlock Core module and a Power module on its top side, with two additional high-speed connectors (Slots C and D) on the bottom for I/O expansion. Slot C accommodates modules up to 23mm in height, while Slot D supports modules up to 10mm, enabling versatile sensor and communication stack-ups. The board utilizes robust board-to-board connectors and mechanical screw fixation to maintain signal integrity and module security, even in environments subject to shock and vibration.

Complementing the base, the RAK19012 WisBlock USB LiPo Solar Power Slot Module delivers comprehensive power management and system control. It integrates a USB-C port for direct firmware uploads and serial debugging, an onboard battery charger chip for single-cell LiPo management (up to 4.2V charging voltage), and a dedicated input for solar panel energy harvesting. The module also provides user-configurable LEDs, a reset button, and a power connector to seamlessly link with the WisBlock Base, forming a complete, low-power development platform ready for field deployment.
