The GB40-T12 is designed for flexible integration into industrial control panels, operating on a wide range of 12V or 24V DC power supplies. Ensure your power source can provide the required quiescent current (≤100 mA) and is stable within the sensor's specified tolerance.

The sensor provides a solid-state safety output signal capable of sinking up to 300 mA. Typically, you wire this output in series with your machine's emergency stop circuit or directly to a safety relay input. Refer to the included emitter and receiver cables for power (V+, GND) and output signal connections.

The 40mm pitch refers to the center-to-center spacing between each of the 12 infrared beams. This defines the minimum size of an object that can be reliably detected. An object smaller than 40mm might pass through without interrupting a beam, so ensure the pitch matches your required detection resolution for personnel or object safety.

With an IP64 rating, the sensor is protected against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for most indoor industrial environments. It is not submersible or rated for prolonged exposure to running water or heavy rain, so outdoor use requires additional protective housing.

The effective detection range is 0.3 to 10 meters. This distance is the maximum recommended separation between the aligned emitter and receiver units for reliable beam reception. The sensor comes with integrated cables (emitter: 3.3M, receiver: 7.3M); extending these cables is not advised as it can affect signal integrity and safety compliance.
