This load cell uses a standard 4-wire (or sometimes 6-wire with sense) shielded cable. The wires are typically color-coded: Red (Excitation+), Black (Excitation-), Green (Signal+), White (Signal-). For 6-wire versions, additional sense wires (often blue and yellow) are used for remote sensing of excitation voltage at the load cell to compensate for cable resistance. For accurate measurement, the load cell must be mounted to ensure force is applied strictly along its designated sensing axis. Use the provided or recommended high-tensile mounting screws and ensure the mounting surfaces are flat, parallel, and rigid. Avoid any side loads or bending moments on the cell, as these will cause measurement errors and potential damage. A mounting kit or adapter plate is often recommended.

While technically possible, accuracy at the very low end of its range (e.g., 1kg on a 50kg cell) will be limited by the sensor's resolution and the signal-to-noise ratio of your measurement system. For high precision at low weights, a load cell with a lower rated capacity (e.g., 5kg or 10kg) is recommended. This 50kg cell is optimized for measurements within a significant portion of its full-scale range.
