Description
The MacSync RS485/Analog to LoRaWAN Datalogger is engineered for robust, long-term IoT data acquisition in remote and challenging conditions. Its core combines an STM32WL series microcontroller with integrated LoRa transceiver and a separate nRF5281 chip for BLE 5.3, creating an ultra-low-power architecture optimized for multi-year battery operation. This design allows the unit to periodically wake, poll connected RS485 Modbus devices or sample analog sensors, and transmit the aggregated data over secure LoRaWAN links.
Built for industrial reliability, the device is sealed within an IP68 waterproof enclosure, making it resistant to dust, moisture, and extreme temperatures from -35°C to +60°C. The integrated secure MacTalk protocol and over-the-air (OTA) update capability ensure the device can be reconfigured and maintained remotely throughout its lifespan, eliminating the need for physical access after deployment. This combination of long-range wireless connectivity, extensive sensor interfacing, and extreme power efficiency makes it a foundational component for smart city infrastructure, utility metering, and environmental monitoring networks.
