Description

The GY-NEO6MV2 GPS module integrates the proven u-blox NEO-6M positioning engine into a compact, ready-to-use board. It provides real-time latitude, longitude, altitude, velocity, and time data with a positioning accuracy under 2.5 meters. The module communicates via a simple TTL serial UART interface, outputting standard NMEA 0183 sentences compatible with most development platforms.

Designed for low-power operation, it is suitable for battery-powered projects. The built-in ceramic antenna offers adequate reception, while a dedicated SMA connector allows for the attachment of an external active antenna to significantly boost signal strength in urban canyons or indoor settings. An integrated LED provides a visual lock indicator, and the on-board EEPROM retains satellite almanac data for faster Time-To-First-Fix (TTFF) on subsequent power cycles.
