The LJ24A3-10-J/EZ inductive proximity sensor operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction, generating an oscillating field from its sensing face. When a ferrous metal object enters this field within the specified 10mm range, it causes a detectable change in oscillation amplitude, triggering the sensor’s solid-state output. This non-contact detection method eliminates mechanical wear and provides reliable, maintenance-free operation.
Constructed with a brass-nickel plated housing and an ABS sensing face, the sensor is built to withstand challenging industrial conditions, including exposure to oil mist and particulate matter, as indicated by its IP65 ingress protection rating. The integrated 1.2-meter cable facilitates straightforward installation into control cabinets and machine panels, making it suitable for high-voltage industrial automation environments.
