The KSD301 is a mechanical, fixed-temperature thermostat utilizing a bimetallic disc as its sensing element. As the ambient temperature reaches its calibrated set point (105°C), the disc snaps, physically closing the electrical contacts to complete a circuit. This simple, robust design requires no external power, making it ideal for fail-safe over-temperature protection or basic on/off control in heating systems.
Encased in a Bakelite shell, the switch provides excellent electrical insulation and resistance to heat deformation. Its high 10A switching capacity allows it to control heating elements, motors, or solenoids directly, eliminating the need for an intermediate relay in many applications.
