The KSD301 is a fixed-temperature, bimetallic thermal switch housed in a ceramic insulator. It operates as a normally closed (NC) switch, remaining conductive until the calibrated setpoint of 60°C is reached, at which point the internal bimetallic disc snaps open, breaking the circuit to protect the connected system.
Its ceramic construction provides excellent electrical isolation, high dielectric strength, and long-term stability under thermal cycling. The device is designed for direct series connection with loads up to 10A, eliminating the need for auxiliary relays in many applications, making it a cost-effective and reliable solution for basic thermal protection.
