Description
The ESP8684-DevKitC-02C-N4 development board provides a compact and fully-featured platform for prototyping Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy IoT devices. It centers on the ESP8684-WROOM-02C or 02UC module, which houses the ESP8684 single-core RISC-V processor capable of operating at frequencies up to 160 MHz, balancing performance with power efficiency for connected edge applications.
This board delivers robust wireless communication with support for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4 (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5.0 LE, enabling local device networking and low-power sensor data transmission. Power is supplied cleanly through the onboard USB Type-C port, which also serves as the primary serial communication channel for programming and debugging. The development experience is streamlined through official support for the extensive ESP-IDF SDK and the widely-used Arduino core, making it suitable for both advanced embedded engineers and makers.
