Description
The ESP32-WROVER is a fully integrated wireless MCU module built around the Espressif ESP32 dual-core Xtensa LX6 processor, clockable from 80 MHz to 240 MHz. It combines 8MB of external SPI flash with 64MB of SPI Pseudo Static RAM (PSRAM), providing substantial memory for complex firmware, audio buffers, graphics frames, or web server applications. The module targets a wide spectrum from low-power sensor networks to demanding edge computing tasks like voice encoding, music streaming, and MP3 decoding.
Its RF subsystem integrates the antenna switch, balun, power amplifier, low-noise amplifier, filters, and power management, requiring minimal external components. With a transmit power up to +19.5 dBm and a receiver sensitivity of –97 dBm, it ensures robust wireless links. The module supports both Classic Bluetooth for legacy audio profiles and Bluetooth Low Energy for beacon broadcasting and low-power peripheral connections, making it a versatile core for smart home, industrial telemetry, and wearable device designs.
