Description
The EDATEC ED-CM4SEN is a purpose-built industrial computer designed around the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4). It transforms the CM4’s compute power into a hardened edge device suitable for demanding IoT and data acquisition scenarios. The board addresses critical industrial requirements by integrating a 4G/LTE cellular module for remote connectivity, alongside dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 for local network options.
Its core strength lies in the extensive array of industrial serial and control interfaces, including four isolated RS485 channels, one RS232 port, and one CAN bus interface, enabling direct connection to sensors, PLCs, and industrial machinery. Power is supplied via a wide-range 12-18V DC input, compatible with standard industrial power systems. The enclosed metal case incorporates a substantial heatsink, effectively managing thermal loads from the CPU, wireless modules, and power management IC to ensure stable operation across an extended temperature range from -25°C to 60°C.
