The DFRobot Gravity BME680 Environmental Sensor is based on the Bosch BME680 MEMS chip, a highly integrated environmental sensing solution. It employs a metal-oxide (MOX) sensor for detecting a wide range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), providing an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) index. Simultaneously, it delivers precise readings for temperature, relative humidity, and barometric pressure, making it a comprehensive tool for environmental data acquisition.
Designed for ease of integration, the module features the standard DFRobot Gravity I2C interface, allowing for daisy-chaining with other Gravity series sensors. The onboard circuitry ensures stable operation across a 3.3V to 5V DC supply range, making it suitable for a wide array of development platforms including Arduino, ESP8266/32, Raspberry Pi, and industrial data loggers. The compact form factor and low power profile enable deployment in portable, battery-powered IoT and wearable applications.
