The QS18VP6D WORLD-BEAM sensor operates on the diffuse (proximity) photoelectric principle, where the target object reflects the emitted infrared beam back to the receiver within the same housing. This design provides reliable detection without a separate reflector, ideal for varied surface colors and textures within its specified range.
Engineered for industrial durability, its IP67-rated ABS housing and acrylic lens protect against dust ingress and temporary water immersion. The sensor includes a built-in potentiometer for sensitivity adjustment, visible LED indicators for alignment and status, and a standard M18 threaded mount for easy installation into panels or machinery.
