The Arducam 5MP OV5647 camera module provides a dedicated imaging solution for space-constrained Raspberry Pi Zero and Compute Module projects. Its native 5-megapixel sensor communicates over the dedicated Camera Serial Interface (CSI) bus via a supplied 15cm flat ribbon cable, ensuring minimal latency and maximum bandwidth for pixel data transmission, supporting video modes up to 1080p at 30fps.
Engineered with a 160-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, this module captures expansive fields of view, making it suitable for applications where peripheral vision is critical. The fixed-focus lens, set from 1 meter to infinity, eliminates the need for manual adjustment. The module’s slender 6mm neck and flexible cable design allow for integration into tight enclosures or mobile platforms, from DIY endoscopes to compact surveillance systems.
