The camera is UVC (USB Video Class) compliant, making it plug-and-play compatible with any operating system that supports this standard. This includes Windows 10/11, Linux distributions (like Ubuntu), macOS, and Android devices. It also works seamlessly with single-board computers like the Raspberry Pi. No additional drivers need to be installed; simply connect it via the provided USB cable and it should be recognized as a standard video device.

The autofocus system operates automatically. Ensure your subject is within the valid focusing range of 100mm (10cm) to infinity. The camera will continuously adjust the lens to keep the scene sharp. For software control, you can use standard UVC camera control applications (like OBS, VLC, or OpenCV) to potentially trigger focus or adjust settings if the host application exposes those controls through the standard UVC interface.

You can use any software that accesses standard webcams. For general use, applications like OBS Studio, VLC media player, or native OS camera apps work. For development and machine vision, libraries like OpenCV (with Python, C++), PyGame, or MATLAB's Image Acquisition Toolbox can capture frames directly. On Raspberry Pi, you can use raspistill/raspivid commands or Python libraries like Picamera2 (configured for USB cameras).

The module is powered entirely through its USB 2.0 connection. It requires a standard 5V supply provided by the USB host port, with a typical operating current of approximately 200mA. Ensure your host device (like a Raspberry Pi or laptop USB port) can deliver this current. Using a powered USB hub is recommended if connecting to a device with limited port power, such as some older Raspberry Pi models.
