The sensor operates on a wide 10 to 30 VDC supply range, making it compatible with standard 12V and 24V industrial power systems. It includes built-in reverse polarity and surge protection for enhanced reliability in electrically noisy environments.

The Light ON (output active when target is detected) or Dark ON (output active when no target is present) mode is selected by wiring the sensor's output wires according to the connection diagram in the datasheet. This provides flexibility to match the logic requirements of your PLC or controller.

It can detect opaque, translucent, and even transparent objects within its 30cm range, depending on surface reflectivity. For best results, ensure the target object provides sufficient contrast against the background. The sensor's performance may vary with highly reflective or absorbent materials.

The sensor has a maximum response time of 1 millisecond. This fast switching speed is critical for high-speed applications like counting small parts on a fast-moving conveyor, precise positioning in robotics, or detecting rapid sequential events without missing triggers.

With its IP64 (protected against dust and water splashes) and IP67 (protected against temporary immersion) ratings, the sensor is well-suited for damp, dusty, or washdown industrial environments. However, it is not designed for continuous underwater use or prolonged direct exposure to high-pressure jets.
