The VC-01 module from AI-Thinker provides a dedicated hardware solution for adding offline voice control to IoT devices. It leverages the Unisound US516P6 system-on-chip, which deeply integrates a custom speech recognition algorithm operator with a high-performance 32-bit processor core, enabling rapid, on-device command parsing.
Designed for cost-sensitive mass production, the module operates on a 3.6V to 5V supply and includes 2MB of built-in SPI Flash. Its architecture supports a lightweight RTOS and offers a full suite of serial and digital interfaces, allowing developers to seamlessly add voice triggers to smart home appliances, toys, and lighting systems without relying on network connectivity.
