Description
The Adafruit Feather M0 Adalogger is an integrated development board specifically designed for compact data acquisition and logging projects. Built around the powerful ATSAMD21G18 ARM Cortex-M0 processor, this Feather-form-factor board combines high performance with low-power operation, making it suitable for a wide range of embedded applications requiring persistent data storage.
Operating at 48 MHz with 3.3V logic, the ATSAMD21G18 microcontroller offers a substantial 256KB of Flash memory and 32KB of RAM. Its native USB capability facilitates direct programming and debugging via a serial port, eliminating the need for external USB-to-serial converters. This integration streamlines development workflows and reduces component count.
For portable applications, the Adalogger includes a built-in 100mA LiPo battery charger, complete with a charging status indicator LED. The board can run directly from a micro USB connection or seamlessly switch to USB power when available, while also providing a battery voltage monitor via an analog pin. The prominent feature is the integrated microSD card holder, enabling direct data logging capabilities crucial for sensor networks, environmental monitoring, and other data-intensive embedded systems.
