Description
The SparkFun IN100 NanoBeacon Board represents a significant advancement in wireless low-energy Bluetooth beacon technology. Powered by the InPlay IN100 NanoBeacon, this board offers unparalleled efficiency with its minimal programming demands and ultra-low power consumption. It adheres to various standard 2.4 GHz protocols and includes configurable features that drastically reduce power usage, enabling continuous operation in the field for years.
Powering the IN100 NanoBeacon Board is straightforward, capable of operating from a single 3V coin cell battery. For this purpose, it incorporates a 12mm coin cell battery holder (CR1225 battery not included) into its design. Seamless integration into the SparkFun Qwiic ecosystem is also facilitated by the inclusion of a dedicated Qwiic connector. For serial communication, a UART interface breakout is provided via a 0.1-inch spaced through-hole header. Additionally, four of the IN100’s GPIO pins (4-7) are accessible, alongside two I/O power switch pins (SW0 and SW1).
To assist with identification and organization, a designated “Notes” space is included on the back of the board, allowing users to jot down necessary information or labels for quick reference among different NanoBeacon boards.
