Elecrow Crowtail Vibration Sensor 2.0 - Digital Switch Output Module
The Elecrow Crowtail Vibration Sensor 2.0 is a digital vibration detection module based on the SW-420 sensor, compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic systems like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32. It provides a simple digital switch output (HIGH/LOW) to detect shocks, impacts, and vibrations for security and monitoring applications.
Features
- Digital switch output (0/1) for easy integration with microcontrollers.
- Wide operating voltage range from 3.3V to 5V DC.
- Based on the SW-420 normally closed vibration sensor for reliable triggering.
- Crowtail interface for plug-and-play compatibility with Elecrow base shields.
- Compact form factor suitable for embedded and portable projects.

The Elecrow Crowtail Vibration Sensor 2.0 utilizes a spring-based, normally closed (NC) vibration switch (SW-420) that opens its circuit upon detecting sufficient mechanical shock or vibration. This change in state is conditioned by an onboard comparator circuit to produce a clean digital logic signal, making it ideal for microcontroller-based alarm and event-triggering systems.
Designed for educational and prototyping environments, the module features the standardized Crowtail connector, allowing for quick connection to compatible base shields without soldering. Its robust response to sustained vibration periods makes it suitable for applications requiring detection of continuous or repetitive impacts, unlike simple momentary switches.
