The Waveshare Tilt Detection Sensor Module operates on a simple mechanical principle using a mercury switch. When the module is tilted beyond a specific threshold angle (typically around 30°), the mercury blob moves to bridge two internal contacts, closing the circuit and driving the digital output pin high. This provides a clear, unambiguous TTL signal for state detection.
Designed for straightforward integration, the module features a standard 3-pin interface (VCC, GND, Digital Output) and operates across a common 3.3V to 5.5V logic range, making it compatible with most development platforms. Its compact form factor and included mounting hardware facilitate installation in space-constrained applications.
