The KSD302 is a bimetallic disc thermostat housed in a durable ceramic body. The ceramic material provides excellent electrical insulation and thermal conductivity, ensuring accurate and reliable response to ambient temperature changes. When the local temperature reaches the calibrated setpoint of 105°C, the internal bimetallic disc snaps, mechanically opening the normally open (NO) contacts to break the circuit.
This device functions as a single-use, auto-reset thermal protector. Once the temperature drops below the reset point (typically several degrees below the setpoint), the disc returns to its original shape, closing the contacts and restoring the circuit. Its 250V 10A rating makes it suitable for direct control of heaters, motors, transformers, and other AC/DC loads in a wide range of consumer and industrial applications.
