Generic Ceramics KSD302 110°C NC Thermostat Switch - 250V 16A Ceramic Body
The Ceramics KSD302 is a normally closed (NC) thermal cut-off switch rated for 110°C, designed for inline temperature protection in appliances and heating systems. It features a ceramic housing for electrical insulation and heat resistance, handling up to 16A at 250V AC for reliable over-temperature cutoff.
Features
- Normally Closed (NC) snap-action bimetallic thermostat rated for 110°C (±5°C typical) trip point.
- High-current ceramic body switch rated for 16A at 250V AC, suitable for direct load switching.
- Robust ceramic housing provides excellent electrical insulation and thermal stability.
- SPST (Single-Pole, Single-Throw) configuration for simple series circuit integration.
- Compact form factor for easy mounting within appliances, heaters, or control panels.

The KSD302 is a bimetallic disc thermostat housed in a ceramic shell, providing a cost-effective and reliable solution for over-temperature protection. When the ambient temperature reaches its calibrated setpoint (110°C), the bimetallic disc snaps, mechanically opening the normally closed contacts to break the circuit and prevent overheating. This action is non-latching; the switch automatically resets once the temperature cools below the trip point.
Its ceramic construction offers superior dielectric strength and flame retardancy compared to plastic housings, making it suitable for high-temperature environments near heating elements or in power supplies. The device is designed for direct series connection with the load, eliminating the need for auxiliary control circuitry in many applications.
