The CJMCU TEMT6000 module features a TEMT6000 phototransistor, a specialized ambient light detector whose spectral sensitivity is engineered to emulate the human eye’s response, with peak sensitivity in the green-yellow visible spectrum (570 nm) while inhibiting infrared interference. This provides a more accurate representation of perceived brightness compared to broad-spectrum sensors.
The sensor outputs a variable analog voltage directly proportional to the incident light flux, which can be read by any microcontroller’s analog-to-digital converter (ADC) pin. The onboard circuitry conditions the signal for stable operation with a 3.3V to 5V DC supply, making it ideal for integration into portable electronics, IoT nodes, and industrial control systems requiring ambient light-dependent automation.
