The Pro-Range GB20-T16 operates on the principle of infrared beam interruption. The emitter unit projects 16 parallel infrared beams (950nm wavelength) across a 300mm height. The receiver unit detects these beams, and any object interrupting one or more beams triggers a safety output signal within 15 milliseconds. This system is engineered for high immunity to ambient light, tolerating up to 10,000 Lux, ensuring stable operation in brightly lit industrial settings.
Built for harsh industrial environments, the sensor features an IP64 ingress protection rating and a housing constructed from an aluminum alloy cover, ABS industrial plastic, and cold-rolled steel sheets. It operates reliably across a temperature range of -10°C to 55°C and withstands significant shock and vibration. The integrated output can handle up to 300mA, making it suitable for directly interfacing with machine safety relays or PLCs to initiate an immediate stop command.
