The LJ30A3-15-Z/BY is a PNP normally open (NO) inductive proximity sensor designed for non-contact detection of metallic objects at a range of 15mm. Operating from a 6-36VDC supply, it is compatible with industrial PLCs, 24V control systems, and automation circuits requiring a sinking input.

This inductive proximity sensor generates an oscillating electromagnetic field from its ABS sensing face. When a metallic object enters the 15mm detection zone, it causes eddy current losses that dampen the oscillation, triggering the internal PNP transistor switch to close the circuit between the brown (V+) and black (signal) wires. The normally open (NO) configuration means the output signal line is normally floating (high impedance) until an object is detected.
Constructed with a brass-nickel plated body and an IP65 environmental seal, the sensor is protected against dust ingress and water jets, making it suitable for use in machine tools, conveyor systems, and automated assembly lines where oil, coolant, or particulate matter may be present. The 1.2-meter attached cable provides direct wiring to terminal blocks or connectors.
