The SparkFun LIS3DH breakout board provides a robust and accessible interface to the STMicroelectronics LIS3DH MEMS accelerometer. The sensor utilizes a capacitive sensing principle to measure static acceleration (tilt) and dynamic acceleration (shock, vibration) across three orthogonal axes. Its integrated signal conditioning and ADC deliver stable, high-resolution data.
Designed for prototyping, the module operates from 1.7V to 3.6V, making it ideal for battery-powered portable devices. The onboard voltage regulator and level shifting ensure clean power and logic compatibility for 3.3V systems. The pre-soldered headers facilitate rapid connection to breadboards and development platforms.
