The ZE03-SO2 module integrates a high-performance ME3-SO2 electrochemical sensor cell. It operates on the principle of electrochemical oxidation, where sulfur dioxide gas undergoes a reaction at the working electrode, generating a current proportional to the gas concentration as per Faraday’s law. This current is conditioned by onboard circuitry to provide stable, linear output signals.
The module is designed for reliable long-term operation in varied environmental conditions, featuring excellent anti-interference characteristics for stable readings in electrically noisy industrial or urban settings. Its compact form factor and low power draw make it suitable for both battery-powered portable devices and permanently installed air quality monitoring stations.
