The FCS-01 flow switch utilizes a reliable reed switch mechanism activated by a magnet attached to a shuttle, which moves in response to fluid flow. This design provides a simple, robust, and contactless method for detecting the presence or absence of flow in a pipe, with minimal pressure drop. The switch is normally open (NO) and closes upon reaching the specified flow threshold.
Engineered for durability, the sensor features a Noryl housing and stainless steel spring, making it resistant to corrosion and suitable for use with potable water and air. Its wide operating temperature and pressure range allow for deployment in diverse environments, from cooling systems and circulation pumps to leak detection and mains water control applications.
