MemsFrontier MPM11-BS Laser PM Sensor (Front Air Inlet/Outlet, 8-Pin) - UART/I2C/PWM Output
The MemsFrontier MPM11-BS is a laser-based particulate matter sensor designed for accurate air quality monitoring of PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10 concentrations. Featuring front-mounted air inlets and an 8-pin interface, it offers UART, I2C, and PWM output for easy integration with microcontrollers like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32, as well as industrial data acquisition systems.
Features
- Laser scattering principle for precise detection of PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10 particles (0.3–10 µm).
- Triple-output interface: selectable UART serial, I2C, and PWM for flexible system integration.
- High accuracy: ±15 µg/m³ or ±15% reading under standard conditions (25°C, 50% RH).
- Fast power-on and response time of less than 10 seconds for real-time data acquisition.
- Compact, robust design with wide operating range (-10°C to +60°C, 0–99% RH non-condensing).

The MPM11-BS employs a laser scattering detection principle to measure particulate matter concentrations with high resolution (1 µg/m³). Its front-facing air inlet and outlet optimize airflow for consistent sampling, making it suitable for embedded environmental monitoring nodes and portable air quality devices.
Engineered for stability, the sensor provides excellent measurement consistency, with deviations of ±10% for concentrations between 100–500 µg/m³ and ±10 µg/m³ for 0–100 µg/m³ ranges. The 5V DC supply and low operating current (≤85 mA) ensure compatibility with standard logic-level systems and battery-powered applications.
