The Renke RS-YUX-N01-H is a robust precipitation detection sensor engineered for continuous outdoor monitoring. It utilizes a spiral metal coil sensing mechanism to detect the presence of rain or snow, triggering a digital status change. The sensor incorporates an auto-heating circuit that activates in cold environments to melt snow and prevent ice accumulation on the sensing surface, ensuring reliable operation down to -40°C.
Communication is handled via a standard RS485 interface using the Modbus RTU protocol, allowing for easy daisy-chaining and integration into SCADA, PLC, or cloud-based monitoring platforms. A built-in Form C relay provides a dry contact output for connecting external audible/visual alarms or controlling ancillary equipment like irrigation systems or window closures.
