Description
The LoRaE5 mini development board is engineered for rapid prototyping of long-range, low-power IoT devices. It leverages the STM32WLE5JC, a certified module that uniquely integrates an ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller core with a Semtech SX126X series LoRa radio transceiver. This system-on-chip architecture simplifies design while delivering robust LoRaWAN® connectivity compliant with global sub-GHz ISM bands.
Engineered for extreme power efficiency, the board supports deep sleep modes, including Wake-on-Radio (WOR), drawing a mere 2.1 µA to enable multi-year battery life in field deployments. Its RF front-end is optimized for link budget, offering a high +20.8 dBm transmit power and exceptional receiver sensitivity down to -136 dBm, facilitating reliable communication over distances up to 10 km in ideal line-of-sight conditions. The compact layout includes convenient reset and boot buttons, a USB Type-C interface for programming and power, and dual antenna options via SMA and IPEX connectors for flexible deployment.
