Description
The Pimoroni Tiny 2040 is a minimalist yet powerful development platform built around the Raspberry Pi’s RP2040 microcontroller. Its ultra-compact footprint is designed for space-constrained projects, featuring castellated pads that allow it to be directly soldered as a system-on-module onto a custom carrier PCB. The board integrates an 8MB QSPI flash chip, significantly expanding storage over the base RP2040 for complex applications, firmware, and data logging.
Power management is handled by an onboard 3.3V regulator supporting an input range of 3V to 5.5V, making it compatible with various battery and USB power sources. Despite its size, it provides 12 multifunction GPIO pins for interfacing with sensors, actuators, and peripherals, maintaining full software compatibility with the Raspberry Pi Pico SDK, MicroPython, and CircuitPython ecosystems for rapid prototyping and deployment.
