Description
The Waveshare ESP32-S3-POE-ETH Development Board is a high-integration platform built around the ESP32-S3R8 dual-core processor. It combines wireless and wired networking in a single compact form factor, making it suitable for demanding IoT applications. The board features 16MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM, providing ample memory for complex firmware, Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, and data buffering.
Power management is flexible, supporting standard USB Type-C 5V input or optional IEEE 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet via a separate module. The integrated W5500 Ethernet controller offers a stable, low-latency SPI-based network connection, while the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 LE stack provide complementary wireless links. The board’s structural design includes an external antenna connector for improved RF range and a dedicated camera interface for connecting vision sensors, facilitating development in smart home automation, industrial telemetry, and edge AI.
