AI-Thinker EC-01G NB-IoT & GNSS Combo Module

Description

The EC-01G module from AI-Thinker consolidates Narrowband IoT connectivity and precise global positioning into a unified hardware solution. Its architecture centers on the EC616S, a highly integrated NB-IoT SoC featuring an ARM Cortex-M3 core, 4MB of on-chip NOR Flash, and a complete RF front-end including PA, filter, and antenna switch. This integration delivers excellent communication stability and power efficiency across all network states (PSM, DRX, eDRX).

Alongside the cellular modem, the embedded AT6558R GNSS SoC provides concurrent multi-system satellite navigation, supporting Beidou (BDS), GPS, and GLONASS. The module’s flexible I/O voltage (1.8V/2.8V/3.3V) and extensive peripheral interfaces enable direct connection to a wide array of sensors and serial devices, making it ideal for building compact, self-contained tracking and monitoring nodes without requiring an external host MCU.
