Description
The OpenMV Cam H7 integrates a capable machine vision pipeline into a compact, low-power module designed for embedded developers and makers. Its core is the STM32H7 series microcontroller, featuring a 480 MHz Cortex-M7 with double-precision FPU, delivering the processing muscle needed for real-time algorithms like optical flow, AprilTag tracking, and JPEG compression directly on the edge. The onboard OV7725 sensor provides flexible image capture, supporting various formats and frame rates suitable for a wide range of vision tasks.
Connectivity and expansion are central to its design, with a full-speed USB interface for programming and data transfer, a high-speed μSD card slot for logging, and multiple serial buses (SPI, I2C, CAN, UART) for interfacing with external sensors, displays, or wireless shields. The board also includes dedicated I/O for servo control, a LiPo battery connector, and integrated high-power IR LEDs for low-light applications, making it a versatile platform for robotics, industrial inspection, and smart automation projects.
