Description

This Waveshare camera module leverages the Sony IMX219 CMOS sensor, a proven component in embedded vision systems, to provide 8-megapixel still image capture and video streaming. Its 160-degree wide-angle lens minimizes distortion while maximizing the captured scene, making it suitable for applications requiring broad environmental awareness.

The module includes a dedicated infrared LED board, allowing it to operate in complete darkness for 24/7 surveillance or robotic navigation. It connects via a 15-pin FFC cable to compatible carrier boards like the Jetson Nano Developer Kit or Waveshare’s Compute Module IO boards, drawing power directly from the 3.3V supply pin on the header.
