Description
The ESP-01F module encapsulates the ESP8285, a highly integrated wireless SOC designed for cost-sensitive IoT applications requiring minimal PCB footprint. Its architecture includes a capable application processor alongside the Wi-Fi transceiver, enabling it to handle both network stack processing and user application logic without an external microcontroller. The module supports Station, Access Point, and concurrent STA+AP modes, providing flexibility for various network topologies.
Power management is a key feature, with configurable sleep patterns that drastically reduce average current consumption, making it suitable for battery-powered nodes. The integrated PCB antenna simplifies design, while the SMD-18 package allows for straightforward reflow soldering. With an embedded LWIP protocol stack and support for common security protocols (WEP, WPA/WPA2-PSK), the module offers a turnkey solution for adding secure Wi-Fi connectivity to industrial controls, home automation systems, and consumer electronics.
